EARLY CHILDHOOD CENTER

Here at Immanuel Lutheran Early Childhood Center, we believe children are precious gifts from God. We believe each child is a special and unique person who needs guidance in developing spiritually, intellectually, emotionally, socially, and physically in a Christian atmosphere.

Immanuel Lutheran Early Childhood Center is a partner with parents in providing the necessary guidance that enables each child to develop his/her potential. As an extension of the home, working with parents is vital to the success of the program.

Frequently Asked Questions

Will I need to provide food for my child?

We will provide both morning and afternoon snacks with milk. During a typical school year, we will provide both a morning snack and lunch with milk, and an afternoon snack with water.

When is registration due?

We begin registering our currently enrolled students in March. Then in mid to late April, we begin calling our wait list to fill open spots.

Is the waitlist long?

Sometimes, yes. We add children to the list, as their parents inquire about our center. When it comes time for enrolling, some families have moved or made other arrangements. Continue checking through the spring to see where you are on the list.

Must my child be potty trained?

Children must be potty trained before entering our 3 year old and Pre-K classes. While in our 2 year old class, the teachers work with the parents on training when the child is ready.

What is considered potty trained?

The child must ask to go to the restroom. They must be able to wipe themselves with minimum help. If an accident occurs, we would like them to be able to dress themselves with minimal help.

What do we need to provide if my child is enrolled at the ECC?

2 YEAR OLDS: Diapers/Pull-ups, small pillow and blanket (nap rolls are ok), and a backpack with multiple changes of clothes. Unless there is an allergy, the ECC will provide baby wipes. Water bottle with a lid.

3 YEAR OLDS & PRE-K 4: Small pillow and blanket (nap rolls are ok), and a regular size backpack with a change of clothes. Water bottle with a lid.

**Nap items will be sent home weekly for laundering.
